Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus are launched in an event of the China. These phones are launched with the thin bezels. The specifications and design are same on both phones. There is a difference between screen size and processors. The main highlight of these smartphones display is, both the smartphone comes with a screen ratio of 18:9. Xiaomi claims these are very good smartphones for the gaming and photographies in low-light. Both the smartphones are launched in the China, but the company didn't reveal when they will launch this smartphone in the international market.

2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage variant is launched with a price of 7,99 Yuan(7,800₹). The 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant is launched with a price of 8,99 Yuan (8,800₹). The 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant of Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is launched with a price of 9,99 Yuan (9,700₹). The 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant is launched with a price of 1,299 Yuan (12,700₹). You will get a free cover with these smartphones.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus looks similar, and the features of these smartphones almost similar. Redmi 5 comes with a 5.7 Inches HD+ display, this display comes with a resolution of the 720x1440 pixels. Redmi 5 Plus comes with an FHD+ display. The display of Redmi 5 Plus comes with a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels. Redmi 5 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processors and Redmi 5 Plus run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon, 625 processors. Redmi 5 contains, 2 GB and 3 GB RAM variants, where Redmi 5 Plus contains 3 GB RAM and 4 GB RAM variants. 

Camera setup is same on both smartphones. Both phones contain a 12 MP rear camera, which comes with a 1.25-micron pixel. The front camera of these smartphones come with a 5 MP sensor, the front camera contains a soft-LEDfor the low-light images. Redmi 5 contains a 3,300 mAh battery and Redmi 5 Plus contains a 4,000 mAh battery.
